A short profile

Merwede Valves was founded in the early 60´s as a business unit of Merwede Shipyard. Under their ´wings´ we developed into a multi disciplinary company who strived for the highest possible level of customers satisfaction. Operating in a world wide niche market of custom engineered valve manufacturing, we are playing a historical leading role in supplying valves for all types of extreme applications within unequaled short lead times. The company is located in The Netherlands at Hardinxveld-Giessendam, twenty minutes east from Rotterdam, on the banks of the river ‘Merwede’ that gave its name to the company. Without making any perceptible changes for our customers and the company´s philosophy, the management of Merwede Valves, decided mid 2006, to take over the company from its big conglomerate Merwede Shipyard / IHC Holland, when this change was offered to them. Since January 1st 2007 Merwede Valves is privately owned and is operating fully independently. Together with our dedicated employees we form a strong team to offer you, as our customer, the best possible solution within to the global valve industry.
